Now, with tens of sales and two glowing reviews, Clarke has cemented himself as one of the many self-published authors on Amazon.
Clarke's love of writing developed at a young age, when his grandfather, tasked with looking after the boy, would read him spy and adventure novels inappropriate for his age in an effort to keep him occupied.
Clarke smuggled the novels in his grandfather's bookcase home one by one, so that he could devour them in his bedroom without his parents knowing, and even once he had finished every last book, and his grandfather wondered where the hell they had all gotten to, his appetite for pulp fiction was still not sated.
The adventures, the fist fights, the car chases and showdowns, and the well-worn, saucy passages detailing the various sexual exploits of the protagonists captivated him, spurring him on to create his own stories and show them to his amused peers who, in the days before the internet was so prolific, always reacted enthusiastically. From there it was only a matter of time before Clarke decided he needed to share his work with the wider world.
